Dragon Bust
Here is the finished bust of my dragon, I am pretty happy with the results. I had a bit of a tough time trying to get the front scales to look the way that I wanted, but I decided to go with an extrusion technique. I could have created the scales separately and pushed them into the mesh, but I can always go back in and change that.
I look forward to creating more dragon & fantasy creatures in the near future.

Dragon Bust Progress
Concept of Dragon Bust |
After finishing the concept sketch for my dragon bust, I began to model the head. I want this dragon to be wise and destructive. When I thought up the idea for him, I wanted him to be some sort of mystical dark magic dragon. Maybe he is even a shape shifted form of a necromancer or warlock.

Full Model
The female model has been pieced together and I think that it is looking pretty good. Going through the process of modeling organically in Maya is a lot harder than originally anticipated. However, I caught onto the techniques fairly well, and was able to produce this piece. Although, I do believe most character modeling is done in Zbrush or Mudbox it is good to know how to do it in Maya/3ds Max.

Female Head Progress
I have made some more progress on the head model for my female. I added her eyelids, nose, mouth, and I have begun to work on the ear. I found that the ear is the most challenging part of this model, although using the techniques and tools I know I will be able to finish it.

Female Foot
Here is a foot that I modeled for the 3D female we are creating. I found this part of the model to be the most challenging. The toes are very hard to space out and get to look realistic. I need to do further studies in anatomy and come back and fix this project up.

First I found reference images of female arms. I did not include all of the reference images on the model sheet, but I did use them as a point of reference when needed. Then I modeled and added arms to the female model that I created in the previous assignment. Next I will model the feet of the character, and attach both the feet & the previously created hands.

Here is a model that I created in Maya 2012. Using life drawing reference images that I corrected in Photoshop, I was able to build this organic model. I learned a lot about organic modeling while working on this project. Also, I now further understand why it is so important to keep your topology clean.

Gladiator Helmet Finished Rework
These are the screenshots of my second attempt to create the helmet from the movie "Gladiator." I would really like to take this as a lesson in creating armor assets for character. I would really like to get into designing very believable characters with different assets, including but not limited to armor.
